The doors of the Troupial Yellow House are now open. The Venezuelan restaurant made its long-awaited return on Sunday after weeks of opening day preparations. Customers enjoyed staple menu items like expressos, arepas, and all the cachitos, tovars and golfeados your heart and stomach can imagine.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-3 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Rita’s Italian Ice

Pooler just got a bit cooler with a second Rita’s Italian Ice coming to the Savannah area. While there are no immediate details yet on the new location, the “coming soon” sign should offer up excitement for those looking for a cool treat in the coming, hot Savannah months.

First Watch was initially supposed to open on Sunday, but according to the franchisee owner Amanda Tuorto Hendrix, locals will have to wait until Monday, April 4, to get a taste of the new brunch restaurant after a “little hiccup.”
