Frank Sinatra’s favorite NYC Italian restaurant is opening a N.J. beach pop-up next week

One of New York City’s most beloved Italian restaurants is taking a quick trip to the Jersey Shore.

Patsy’s Italian Restaurant, a Theater District staple since 1944, will launch a pop-up at Asbury Park’s historic Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel starting Feb. 5, the restaurant announced on Facebook.

Reservations for the pop-up can be made on Resy.com or by calling (609) 435-3100.

The pop-up will be open for three months and be staffed by employees from the original restaurant, according to APP.com, offering a la carte dining Fridays and Saturdays and family-style dining on Sundays.

Patsy’s was founded by Pasquale “Patsy” Scognamillo in 1944. The restaurant at 236 West 56th St. became not only a Manhattan institution but the favorite restaurant of Hoboken-born Frank Sinatra — according to the restaurant’s website, his family still eats there. Patsy’s has served countless other celebrities including New Jersey royalty like Jon Bon Jovi
